First Visit Information

At Healing Well Chiropractic we focus on making your first visit a simple, stress free process. From the moment you walk into our Castlemaine clinic, we aim to ensure you feel completely at ease while we focus on understanding your specific needs and creating a plan tailored to you.

The Initial Consultation

Prior to your initial appointment we will send you an intake form to complete. In this form we will get you to provide information about your health history, your reasons for visiting and what you want to achieve from your treatment. This enables us to gain an understanding of you and your health concerns and goals before we begin.

Physical Assessment & Examination

Following a discussion about your health concerns and goals, our focus initially is to conduct a thorough examination including postural, structural, neurological (nerve function), orthopaedic and Chiropractic assessments.  During this exam, we will look for the underlying cause of your problem.

Findings and Treatment Plan

Next we will discuss with you our findings and treatment options moving forward. We will work with you to formulate a plan that is tailored to you to help you gain long term solutions and enable you to function at your absolute best.

Further investigations

If required you may be referred for further investigation (such as X-rays, MRI or CT) to further investigate your problem however our clinic does not send everyone for imaging, only if they are clinically required.

Treatment

In the majority of cases we will begin treatment on the first visit. We believe the sooner we can start treatment, the sooner we can get you back to feeling your best. Treatment can range from low force techniques such as activator, blocks and soft tissue work through to drop piece and manual adjustments.

Follow up visits

After your first visit, we may suggest additional treatments to help you find total relief. Many of our patients choose to transition into ongoing maintainence care to maintain their results. We provide our professional guidance, but every decision is yours and you will not feel forced into anything.
